“DA Delta Black Music & ME”
This new, 400 plus page book, DA Delta Black Music & ME! contains the 1 hour original Documentary, “Take Me Home 2 DA Delta”. This film, was written, and produced by Lamar Thomas, and Judy Thomas. The film, (much like the book) talks about many of the founding fathers of the Blues, soul, Rhythm and Blues, and yes Rock N Roll. The Book and the film, makes Lamar Thomas’s new contribution to American Music and to Southern Culture, so very, very significant and import. College and Universities around the country (especially in the south), will want to get copies of this book for their programs. And surely, they must expect to feature the author as a Lecturer, Panel Member, and a performer.

The pain, heartache, blues & soul of the south that so many unfortunate souls had to endure, has been given a breath of fresh air, and the many Black Delta Musicians, who created so much of what is today’s America’s Music have been afforded proper respect, and due credit for their enormous contribution to not only Southern Culture, but to the American Culture that has become known as the Blues, Soul, Rhythm and Blues and Rock N Roll Music. This book is “DA Truth” about our music and about the people who created it. Delta Son, author Lamar Thomas, speaks from the heart and soul as only a true Delta person can, about what the south is, what it has been, what it has become and why it is at all. The Blues gave us hope, the author states. And yes because the blues was filled with heartache, pain and suffering by southern blacks, these people of the darker hue, were give “voice” through music. I say, “Thank God for giving us DA Blues!”
